What makes us different?
At Mar Azul Nursery we recognise that choosing childcare for your little ones is a very difficult but crucial decision. You will, no doubt visit a number of establishments, interview staff and examine curriculums which can make your choice even more confusing. We have tried to make the process a little easier by identifying what makes us different. We provide the highest standards of quality child care underpinned by our strong commitment to family values and our “home from home” philosophy so that children feel safe and secure and loved whilst you are away. We are the only nursery in this area providing a completely bilingual solution to early years care with an equal number of professionally qualified staff who are native Spanish or native English. Thus children are absorbed in both languages throughout the day without even noticing that they are learning. Mar Azul nursery enhances children’s natural thirst for knowledge by providing a range of varied activities in short bursts which facilitates learning through play. Most importantly of all, children have lots of fun. We offer morning, afternoon and full time sessions together with flexible hours to suit every families busy and varied schedule. Mar Azul International School provides childcare and professional teaching right through to age 18 thus children can establish a stable home with us for their entire education.

Our Staff
Whilst we have a huge range of resources at our disposal, at Mar Azul Nursery, we believe our biggest asset is our staff team. We invest time hand picking the best professional carers to look after your children, all of whom are qualified early years teachers and nursery nurses. Our Nursery Manager is responsible for the daily running of the nursery with the support of two native Spanish and two native English staff. They work together as a closely knit team to provide the best education and care. We encourage staff to continue their personal and professional development by way of external courses and in house training. Staff development is monitored by annual appraisal, monthly team meetings and informal discussions. Children are always carefully supervised and the preschool and nursery maintains a high child/adult ratio. In addition to the required qualifications, all staff have attained, or are working towards, First Aid and Food Hygiene Certificates.

Facilities
Our nursery has been established since 2001 and is situated on the edge of Torrevieja town making it an ideal central location for working families. The centre is situated on the ground floor of a tasteful apartment block and covers an area of 250 m². The nursery, which accommodates children aged 1 to 3, is made up of the large, main nursery room with separate dining room, quiet area for nap time, play room and art room for messy play. Two further rooms are available for pre-school children aged 3 – 5 where the foundations are established for their integration into school. The outside play area is shaded and thus may be used all year round. It has a specially designed non-slip surface ideal for toddlers to play in complete safety and the front gate can be locked with a key to ensure the children’s security at all times. There is also a large and fully equipped kitchen to the rear of the building where hot meals and snacks can be prepared. For health and safety reasons, children do not have access to the kitchen or office area. There are separate toilets situated in nursery and preschool.
